***Tremendous bass 122*** a bonus video from the "Inked Magazine" photo shoot a few weeks ago. If you watched that video and heard me say "we shredded 4 magazines", when there was only 3 shown, this is the 4th one. Ken, shown in the video, showed up to the shop and wanted to hang out for the shoot. I ended up letting him try to hold a magazine to see if he could. Well he was doing good till that low note kicked in......and i think i might sliced him up a little in the process. I know when i was shredding the other magazines, i also could feel them cutting me a little. That port is BRUTAL! Inked magazine saw my "phonebook shred" video and wanted to come down and take some photo's......and see for themselves. They sent a box of magazines to go ahead and destroy inside of the port. The phone book has lighter paper so i figured the magazine, which is made of much thicker, better quality paper, would be a little tougher. I was wrong. It takes 4 seconds of bass to completely obliterate a magazine. The photographer was taking pictures so we did it a few times for him to get the good shots. A car stereo amplifier is one of the most basic car accessories around. Car owners use this for customization and enhancing one’s riding experience. For the music lovers, then you need to seriously invest on a stereo for your car to enjoy your favorite music while on the go.
There are different types of car amplifiers or speakers available in the market, which are available in various price ranges. You can choose from popular brand names and enjoy several functions. Hence, you need to make comparisons before opting to buy a car stereo.
The most basic feature is the ability to play music CDs and play radio. In modern types, you can even use a flash drive to play your saved music file. Meanwhile, you can also attach portable music players such as MP3s to play songs on your car stereo.

With an amplifier, you can increase the volume power of your stereo such that you can play music loudly. There are four basic types of amplifier: Two Channel, Three/Four Channel, Five Channel, and Mono/Bridge. In Two Channel amplifiers, you have two speakers on your amplifier connected via left/right connection. For this one, setup is limited and therefore produces only low audio quality.
In Three/Four Channel, a higher wattage is required to send signal to four or five speakers. However, you need enough space on the back of your car to accommodate the amplifier. As compared to the two-channel amplifier, it can produce better sound quality. And in Five Channel amplifiers, you need to connect five speakers into your amplifier. However, it is more expensive than the ones mentioned above.
The Mono or Bridge amplifiers for your car stereo utilize low frequency sounds. This is a great option if you want to produce sound with a strong bass. This is believed to produce the highest quality audio experience of all types of car audio amplifiers.

Building a stereo system for your car is a challenging task. You also have to deal with the tight spaces. You can rebuild the whole stereo system or just replace the parts in stages starting with the speakers, the most important component. Speakers
As stated above, the speakers are the most important component of a car stereo system. The size, shape, type, power requirements, and mounting location are the factors that you need to consider. You should know by now which speakers that will fit your car.
Match the speakers’ power capacity with the power output of the head unit. Include crossovers for tweeters and midrange speakers.
Subwoofers
Subwoofers need more power and enclosure than the speakers. You can customized or buy an enclosure for your car. There are many types of enclosure that you can buy on the market based on the type of subwoofer or car your have. Some car companies provide amplified subs with enclosures that are easy to install.
Amplifiers
Most units have pre-installed amplifiers. However, external amplifiers with more power is the best ones since you can tweak the bass level, midrange, and high frequencies to balance the system. In addition, a subwoofer needs more power than tweeters and midrange. You can also have another amplifier for the subwoofer and use the built-in amplifiers into the unit. If you use separate amplifiers, then you will be needing crossovers between the speakers and the amps to send the amplifier’s signal to the right speakers. There are some amplifiers that have crossovers.
Head Units and Receivers
When building a car audio system, you can still use your factory head unit or replace it with a new one. However, the disadvantage of factory head units is they do not have pre-amp outputs. Therefore, you can’t use external amplifiers. If you are replacing your factory head unit, you should consider the chassis size. You need to determine what type of head unit you are going to buy.
Installation
Installing a brand new head unit is a bit tricky. But it is easier if you have the right tools, a good background in electronics, and patience. If you do not have these elements, then you can hire someone to do the job for you. You should also consider that by doing this, you will void the warranty of car.
